Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 Windows Phone Smartphones official; Specs, Price and Release Date
After the announcement of the Microsoft and Nokia ally, we have been waiting for almost 8 months to see the first Windows Phone 7 device from Nokia, and finally Nokia has made two of its first Windows Phone official, Even though we have seen these two many times in leaks, this is first time we have heard official details and original name for the devices at the Nokia World. Early the phones were known as Nokia Searay and Sabre, but now the names have been replaced with Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710 respectively.
The new Nokia devices looks cute at first glance even though it may not be a high-end devices like other Smartphone out there, the new devices have its own features and design level approach. The first Nokia Lumia 800 WP7 device is identical to the Nokia N9 MeeGo device while the Nokia 710 has a angled corners and offers exchangeable back covers for distinct looks, but the body itself will come in black and white.
The Nokia Lumia 800 is powered by a 1.4GHz single-core Scorpion processor packs a 3.7″ 480×800 ClearBack AMOLED dispaly that is a bit smaller than Nokia N9’s due to the capacitive home screen button, 512MB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and 25GB of free cloud storage by Microsoft.
The device is running on Windows Phione 7.5 Mango and will be operated on a micro-SIM card like the N9. The device also features n 8MP f/2.2 camera with Carl Zeiss optics with auto-focus and dual LED flash, 1540mAh battery good for 9.5 hours of talk time in 3G mode, and a microSIM slot plus 14.4Mbps HSDPA radio and NFC. The camera shoots 720p videos at 30 frames per second. there are dual-mics for noise cancellation. The Lumia 800 comes in three different colors to match your preferences – Blue, Magenta and Black.
When it comes to software features, the device will offer Windows Phone Mango – People Hub, Pictures Hub, Microsoft Office Hub, IE9 Mobile, Xbox Live, 25GB SkyDrive storage, etc. – which are a first for a Nokia handset, of course. all of these are new to Nokia device.On the other hand the Nokia Lumia 710 is coming with 1.4GHz single-core processor and features a 3.7″ ClearBlack display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels, but unlike the Lumia 800, it’s a TFT one, not AMOLED, 5MP auto-focus one with a single LED flash, Wi-Fi 801.2 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1. A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro-USB connector round-off the package.
It’s different is its affordability paired with nearly the same guts as the Nokia Lumia 800. The handset isn’t too thick, but it’s not too thin either at 0.49″ (12.5mm), while its weight stands at 4.43 ounces (125.5 grams).
According to Nokia, the Nokia Lumia 710 is priced at $375 (€270) while the Nokia Lumia 800 is about €420. Bothe devices are expected to be released in November with the Lumia 800 being now available for pre-order.
The Nokia Lumia will hit in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK with 31 carriers and retailers. Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan will see its launch later in the year. Check out the videos below and feel free to comment in the box.
