Sprint Motorola Admiral Smartphone unveiled; Specs, Price and Release DateSprint has today announced its new Motorola Admiral Android Smartphone, the device is coming with direct connect capabilities and will be offered for a price of $99.99 after $50 mail-in-rebate with a new two-year contract. the Smartphone has a portrait QWERTY keyboard.

The device is powered by a single-core 1.2GHz processor and packs a 3.1-inch VGA touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera that can shoot at 720p video and running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Admiral is the follow-up device to the previously offered Motorola XPRT.

“Motorola ADMIRAL will be the flagship smartphone of Sprint’s all-new Sprint Direct Connect portfolio,” said David Owens, vice president – Product Development, Sprint. “We know our customers will appreciate this tough Android-powered smartphone that combines 3G data speeds with push-to-talk capabilities. It is designed to offer mobile professionals instant communications and mobile broadband data access when it matters most while being able to withstand the toughest environments.”

The device has direct connect features  and also is a rugged smartphone with military standard 810G for dust, shock, solar radiation, vibration, low pressure, and temperatures of all kinds. This should be a unique Smartphone for those who need a device for rough use.

The Motorola Admiral release date is October 23 and you can grab the device from Sprint with two year contract or a qualified two-year upgrade. November 13 the device will hit in stores. Anyway, what do you think about the new Motorola Admiral?.
