ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime Release Date confirmed to be December 8 in US

US consumers are in luck to get the hands on ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime earlier than the Europe, the company has confirmed the most awaited Android tablet will be released in the US on December 8. Even though the device and the price was officially announced early, a particular release date was not revealed. ASUS will launch the device in Taiwan on December 1st. The Europe will have to wait till January for the device.

The ASUS Transformer Prime will be the first Quad-code Tegra 3 Android tablet. The device has sleek form factor with a shiny and thinnest body. The tablet will be running on Android 3.2 Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich will be coming later as update. The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime  features 10.1″ Super IPS+ display at 1280 x 800 resolution, 1GB of RAM and 1.3GHz  Tegra 3 Processor processor under the hood.

The price for the device will be  $499  for 32GB version and $599 for 64GB version. If you want the keyboard dock, you will have to shell out an extra $149 that will boost the Battery life up to 18 hours. The tablets will be available in grey and champagne color variants.
