Motorola to release XOOM 2 and XOOM Media Edition Tablets in UK first; Specs revealed
The new XOOM 2 tablet with 10.1 inch display has been reinforced with Corning Gorilla Glass and Motorola’s own splash-resistant coating for better protectio. Under the hood the device is powered with same dual-core processor at 1.2GHz and sports 1GB of RAM, a 5MP camera on the back, a 1.3MP shooter up front and 16GB of internal memory. The device is slim at 0.35” (8.8mm) thickness and has beefed up battery that will offer around 10 hours of life.
It is expected ti hit the UK first as WiFi version and will be sold at Carphone Warehouse, Best Buy, Dixons, PC World and Currys in mid-November. Motorola hasn’t revealed pricing details but will be announced soon. According to recently leaked flyer, the Media Edition tablet is expected to be sold for €399.90 in Ireland. Some consumers may not be satisfied with this one since the tablet runs on Honeycomb, but we expect and update for the device in the future for 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
