Samsung unveils new Exynos 5250 2GHz Dual-Core Cortex A15 Chipset
Samsung has unveiled its latest Exynos 5250 system-on-chip for mobile devices, the new chipset is coming with two Cortex-A15 cores running at 2GHz and this is the first to feature the two Cortex-A15 cores. The new Exynos will boost 3D graphics performance by four times than the previous.
The Chipset is also capable of running high resolution screens up to WQXGA (2560 x 1600), interestingly most of the Android tablets available in the market are running at a mere 1280 x 800. The Exynos 5250 is twice faster than the 1.5GHz dual-core Cortex A9 chips. The Exynos can process simultaneously at 14,000 DMIPS versus the last-gen’s 7,500 DMIPS.
The new Exynos 5250 will also support stereoscopic 3D and will offer four times the graphical punch of Cortex-A9 APUs. According to Samsung, the Exynos 5250 will be put to production in Q2 2012 and let’s see bright future for faster and smarter phones and tablets soon.
