A Video testing Sprint’s LTE Network spotted; 40-50Mbps download Speed on Huawei Hotspot
After the AT&T, the next carrier that is going to offer the LTE service in the US is Sprint, after a long time of the speculations and rumors, Sprint confirmed it as well as revealing the areas which the company intends to offer service at the launch. It is also almost confirmed that the first LTE device on its network would be Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus. And many of the Sprint’s consumers must be curious to know the speed of Sprint’s LTE network, a guy who seems to be around Huston has posted a video on youtube which tests the network speed .
In the video, A Huawei made hotspot was connected with a computer running on Sprints LTE, Interestingly, the result on the video shows good Ping times and download speeds above 40Mbps and 5Mbps for uploads. The tower being used in the video for the test is from Houston area and the testing was done 1.8 miles away from it.
According to the Sprint, the first cities to get the Sprint LTE service are Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. The announcement came through Sprint’s Twitter account a couple of days ago.
This should be a surprising test for those who have been waiting for a faster internet service on Sprint’s network other than its WiMax service.
