Acer Aspire S5 Slimmest Ultrabook unveiled at CES 2012
Acer has unveiled its latest ultrabook at CES 2012, dubbed Acer Aspire S5 is coming with a title of world’s thinnest Ultrabook. The Ultrabook has only 15mm thick with a 13.3 inch display on board. The laptop will be competing with MacBook Air with slimmest form factor that weighs only below 1.35 Kg (less than 3 lbs).
The Acer S5 laptop is covered in a curved chassis of a black/grey Magnisium-allu and looks alluring. The Ultrabook S5 is expected to move things forward a little with its new features and extremely thin profile.
The Acer Aspire S5 is powered by an Intel Core processor and features SSD to ensure speedy performance, Acer Green Instant functionality for instant-resume functionality (in 1.5 seconds) and PowerSmart battery pack offering 3 fold longer battery life.The laptop features Acer’s standard screen and keyboard.
Acer stressed Acer S5 as the first laptop to feature Acer’s new MagicFlip I/O port panel that is cover for the whole ports like HDMI, USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt I/O ports. In fact the, this new design gives more attraction to the S5 by keeping clean and sleek design when they are not in use. To open the MagicFlip, just press off the MagikFlip key that will open the panel allowing you to use ports concealed in it.
