BlackBerry roadmap leaks; new 7″ 3G+ and 10″ LTE tablets, One BlackBerry 10 and more in pipeline
Anyway, the roadmap reveals new 7″ 3G + PlayBook as well as 10 inch LTE tablet. According to N4BB, the 7 inch version is expected to hit in the April while 10 inch LTE version for December. The report also indicates about the BlackBerry 10 Smartphone, according to early rumors there will be only one device with BlackBerry 10 and might be named as BlackBerry London or BlackBerry Surfboard. It is apparently pushed back to some other date from the rumored “May” release. There are no details about the devices features or hardware of new Blackberry Devices.
The Blackberry 10 was highly anticipated for the Blackberry world, but the report suggests that we will only see BlackBerry 7″ tablet with 2.0 OS. Before the launch of 10 inch tablet, couple of Curve models are also expected , one of them will be with EDGE support targeting at the developing countries. The PlayBook OS 2.0 will be released late February 2012.
In April, the company is also expected to roll out the anticipated Mobile Fusion Service which allows IT administrators to remotely control BlackBerry, iOS and Android devices while a PlayBook administrative tool is expected during the summer.
It seems that the delay for the BlackBerry LTE device is a matter of chipset from Qualcomm. Blackberry should be expecting to regain its market with these new devices. Anyway, we could know more about these device in the coming months and at Blackberry World we could expect some prototypes of the device.
