CES 2012: Lenovo IdeaTab S2 Tablet with Keyboard Dock and S2 Smartphone revealed with Specs
At the CES 2012, Lenovo has a bunch of devices that range from Smartphone to Computers. Lenovo has introduced its two new Android devices that include a Smartphone and Tablet dubbed IdeaTab S2 tablet and S2 Smartphone. The S2 Tablet is basically like Transformer and will surely compete with Eee Pad Transformer at many level. It will be a real rival for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer when it comes to the market. In case Lenovo brings the tablet with completable price tag, it will surely be real strike for Asus.
The IdeaTab S2 Tablet is powered by dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait CPU that will be the main disadvantage for the tablet when it compares with Transformer Prime which is Quad-core Tegra 3 device, otherwise the Tablet has neat form factor. The tablet also features 10″ 1280×800 LED-backlit IPS panel, 1 gig of RAM, SSD internal storage of up to 64 GB that should ensure faster loading and enhanced performance and a 5 MP autofocus on the rear side.
The IdeaTab S2comes with optional tablet dock like Asus Transformer and features an extra built in battery that will ensure the tablet lasts up to whopping 20 hours on a single charge.On the other hand, the S2 Smartphone was first revealed in China last month, the tablet runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and comes powered by single-core 1.4 GHz processor under the hood. The Smartphone sports a a 3.8″ WVGA LCD, 720p-capable 8 MP camera on the rear side and Kernel-level security. The Smartphone will be more secure for users with high-end security from phishing, data theft, SMS traffic and the likes.
