CES 2012: Samsung’s new Series 9 Laptops unveiled; Specs, Price and Release Date
Samsung has an addition to its Series 9 laptops at this CES 2012, the new Series 9 laptop looks great in design and very thinner than the original Series 9 laptop. Samsung is introducing the laptop as the world’s thinnest available in the market to date. The laptop only has 0.5″ (12.9mm) thickness and weighs 2.5 pounds.
When it comes to the body and color, the device has 100% aluminum body with matte finish and will comes in mineral ash for the US and silver for international model.
The laptop is powered by optional Intel’s i5 or i7 Core processors and sports a 13.3″ or 15″ (slightly thicker at 0.6″ and heavier at 3.28 pounds) 1600 x 900 display, 128/256GB SSD, one USB 2.0 port, one USB 3.0, a mini LAN port, mini VGA port, HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Laptop Series 9 takes 9.8 seconds boot time and faster wake up time.
The 7 hours of battery life is offered for the 13.3″ model while 10 hours of battery life for the 15″ version of the Samsung Series 9 laptop. The second generation Samsung Series 9 laptop’s release date is February 27, 2012 and pricing is $1,399.99 for the 13 inch model and $1,499.99 for the 15 inch. The laptop really looks hot with the new design and should catch many eyes in the market when it hits.
