Dell XPS 13 thinnest Ultrabook with Core i processors unveiled; Specs, Price and Release DateDell has always been a business brand with laptops having professional features other than a devices with alluring design, but at CES 2012 the company has a lot to talk about its new Ultrabook with eye-catchy design as well as features. The new ultra-thin laptop is on its XPS  13 lineup with 13.3 inch screen. According to the company, this is the only enterprise level ultrabook to date. The devise should be a competitor to Apple’ MacBook Air. Dell has announced a surprise for US consumers,  the first 10,000 customers of  XPS 13 in the United States will receive a free T-Mobile 4G Mobile HotSpot and a 90 days of free mobile broadband service.

The laptop has a very compact design with rounded corners and aluminum body for durability. the laptop weighs only 2.99lbs (1.4kg) and measures at 316 mm x 205 mm. The body features carbon fiber on the back offering  lighter weight, durability and softer touch. Inside you have magnesium alloy with soft touch finish and backlit keyboard with a buttonless multi gesture trackpad.

The Ultrabook will be available either with Core i7 2637M dual core  or  Core i5 2467M processor and sports 13.3” HD WLED, 300-nit (1366×768) 720p display, Intel HD 3000 graphics, 4GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1333 MHz and  256GB SSD or 128GB SSD with Intel rapid Start that will ensure the faster performance and boot time. The laptop also features 1.3 webcam with H.264 support  and dual array digital microphones.

The display has got edge to edge Gorilla glass and running on optional Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate Genuine OS. Te connectivity options include  Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 802.11 a/g/n with Intel Smart Connect Technology and Bluetooth 3.0. The Smart Connect technology ensures the instant updates for application such as calendar, email, etc, not matter even if the laptop is in sleep mode. There are ports that include USB 3.0, USB 2.0 with PowerShare; mini DisplayPort; Headset Jack. The Ultrabook. The XPS 13 has a 47WHr Battery offering 8 hours of battery life and coming with 1 Year Limited Hardware Warranty.  Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook will be released at the end of the February for a staring price of starting price of $999.  Check out the images below and feel free to comment in the box.
