GammaTech RT10C rugged Windows 7 Tablet launched; here goes Specs
Some people may only be interested in rugged devices for their tough work and don’t want to get the device damaged at any case, here is new rugged tablet from GammaTech. It is a windows 7 tablet and seems to be good for those who work in construction field and other tough sectors. The Tablet is dubbed GammaTech RT10C and have 10.2 inch screen. The tablet is a little heavier with highly protective casing and weighs 2.3Kg / 5lbs and measures at 270mm x 184mm x49mm.
The GammaTech RT10C tablet is powered by an Intel Core i7-620UE mobile processor along with HD graphics and packs a 10.2” touchscreen (1024 x 600) display, 2GB RAM on board and one DDRIII SODIMM Socket, up to 4GB and 2.5″ SATA Hard Disk/SSD.
The GammaTech RT10C also features Two USB 2.0, One Mini USB, One RJ-45 jack for 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet and One15 pin D-sub VGA port for ext. monitor/projector for your connectivity. Wireless connectivity include Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g. The device has almost decent features that a professional would need at their work.
The Tablet is built to military 810G standards and touted to be Drop Resistant, Spill Resistant, Shock Resistant as well as Dust Resistant and for security reason the tablet include TPM 1.2 fingerprint recognition and an optional Smart Card reader.You also get an optional docking station that has additional Four USB 2.0, One RJ-45 jack for 10/100Mbps Ethernet, One15 pin D-sub VGA port and One 9 pin D-sub Serial port. For OS you can choose Windows embedded standard 2009, Windows 7 or Windows 7 Pro embedded operating systems. The tablet is promised to offer you battery life of five hours with its nine-cell Smart lithium-ion battery, unfortunately price for the tablet is still a mystery.
