Ice Cream Sandwich Update for Motorola XOOM WiFi releases

Ice Cream Sandwich Update for Motorola XOOM WiFi releasesXOOM owners, you are lucky today to have your device updated with latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, yes Motorola has finally started to roll out the anticipated update for Motorola’s first honeycomb tablet Motorola XOOM, the update is now available as OTA.

Unfortunately the update is only for the American WiFi version of the Motorola XOOM tablet while it is not sure when the update for the LTE and international versions will hit the shelves or if it is getting regardless of the version. It is noticeable that Motorola is pushing out the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the XOOM tablet shortly after the ASUS released its ICS update for its Transformer Prime.

The ICS update for the tablet should give users a relief with many new features and improvements. It is also a sign of other Android Honeycomb tablets getting the update soon. Most of the first generation Tegra 2 devices are almost similar in hardware features and should give users a hope of tasting the ICS update.  Eve nthough ASUS rolled out ICS update for the Transformer Prime, its original  Eee pad Transformer is yet to get the update, According to the ASUS, the update for the  original Transformer will only be rolled out either later this month or early next month. In that case, XOOM owners are lucky to have the update soon. Anyway, if you have  already got your Motorola XOOM tablet updated, feel free to share your experience with us.
