Motorola XYBOARD 8.2 and 10.1 inch Tablets on pre-order; pricing $399.99 and $499.99
Motorola’s WiFi version of XYBOARD Android tablet is finally available for pre-order, the Motorola is a little early at least this tame in releasing the device instead of making lot of teasers and rumors about the tablet’s release. The Motorola Droid XYBOARD is the second generation XOOM with 8.2 and 10.1 inch displays.
The Motorola XYBOARD 8.2 is priced at $399.99le the 10.1 version of the device costs $499.99. It’s not known how the company is going to compete with other tablets out there with a high price tag while there are tablet like ASUS quad-core tegra 3 devices for reasonable price, even though the Motorola DROID XYBOARD has got a neat design and decent Dual-core Tegra 2 processor under the hood.
Unfortunately the device is running on 3.2 Honeycomb version of Android, hope is that the Motorola has promised Android Ice cream sandwich update for the tablet. If you think that this the tablet you were waiting for, you can head over to the Motorola website for placing a pre-order. The shipping should start on January 23rd. Anyway, Motorola has priced both devices comparatively less from the old version of its XOOM when it was released and seems there is no other option for the Motorola, if the consumers want to pick their tablet especially since its first version have really disappointed many even though the WiFi XOOM tablet finally started to get the Ice Cream Sandwich update as a relief.
