Google to release Android 5.0 Jelly Bean in Q2 with Chrome OS Dual-boot?

Google to release Android 5.0 Jelly Bean in Q2 with Chrome OS Dual-boot?It hasn’t been long since the Android Ice Cream Sandwich released and even hasn’t decorated much Android devices yet.Do you think that Google will roll out another version of the Android very soon? whatever the answer is, DigiTime citing a source from Taiwan says yes. According to the DigiTimes, Google is preparing to  release new version of the Android named 5.0 Jelly Bean and it will be released in the Q2 of this year.

The source for DigiTimes is as usual, an unnamed supply chain makers and says that the Google is planning to push forward the launch of Jelly Bean because “the adoption of Android 4.0 has fallen short of original expectations and Microsoft will launch Windows 8 in the third quarter of 2012”. Anyway, we couldn’t ignore this rumor since the Ice Cream Sandwich became true after many rumors like this and it is now here and running on pretty numbers of devices released and seeding OS to many old devices.

And one thing to note that the Windows 8 release and Google wants to keep its market share without sharing to any company and an OS like Windows 8 is surely rival to the Android and we know that the Ice Cream Sandwich adoption is very disappointing comparing to Gingerbread. If the Google wants to keep its share in the Market, it has to give the best of  it and it will try its level best to do it, no matter how long it is from another OS launch. Google might be thinking of pushing the Jelly Beans in order to compete the Windows 8 tablets while Microsoft is busy  to bring outstanding features for the users.

According to the DigTime, the Jelly Bean will bring optimizations for larger screen devices – tablets and netbook computers and claim that the one of the key feature for the upcoming Android  is its ability to dual-boot the Chrome OS and it  seems that will make its way to the computer market as well. Let’s hope  there might be a niche for ultra-portable computers with super long battery life and good performance.

Anyway, take this all with a bit of grain of salt, since there hasn’t been a single hint from any of the officials and we expect to know more about the Jelly Bean in the coming months and Google I/O event is in June, if the Q2 release for the OS is true, we will certainly see the Android Jelly Bean at the Google I/O Developer event, let’s wait and see.
