MWC 2012: HTC One X, One XL, One S and One V ICS Smartphones official with Specs; release expected in April

MWC 2012: HTC One X, One XL, One S and One V ICS Smartphones official with Specs; release expected in AprilHTC ‘s appearance  in the market has been faded for a last few months, even though there has been rumors about the new Smartphones to debut at the MWC, finally the company is going to release a bunch new high and mid range Smartphones. Some of the most anticipated Android Smartphones form the HTC including a Quad-Core-powered one have finally been official.  The Smartphones include flagship HTC One X and  One XL as well as a mid range   One S, and the starter One V. Let’s take look at the Smartphones specs.


HTC One X has already been leaked many times and you might be quite familiar with One X, the  Smartphone is quite impressive device with high-end specs under the hood with all other features you expect on a high-end device. The HTC One X is the  most powerful Smartphone  to date by HTC.

The HTC One X is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Tegra 3 chip for the global edition of the phone and a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core for the LTE variant  and packs a 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 display with a a 720p (1280×720 pixels) resolution, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP  camera on the rear side and 1.3 front-facing camera for video call.Main camera features  special Dual Shutter camera module to let you snap the photos while shooting videos 1080 videos simultaneously. Camera  has an impressive a 22mm wide angle lens,  f/2.0 aperture and a BSI sensor. Moreover, Face and smile detection are on board as well as burst shooting mode up to 5fps.

The HTC One X comes with a  32GB on board storage, unfortunately the device lacks the microSD card slot even though HTC compensates 25GB of free Dropbox storage for two years. When it comes to connectivity the HTC One X features Bluetooth 3, Wi-Fi N, 3.5mm headphone jack, microUSB with MHL, DLNA and NFC. Not finished the goodies, the HTC One X is coming with the HTC’s own Beats Audi enhancement that will make sure an impressive audio quality. The HTC One X is running on Android 4.0 ICS with the latest HTC 4.0 Sense on top of it.

HTC has also managed to bring a display covered with  3D Gorilla Glass and the glass is tapered on the edges. Just like the Nokia N9, the whole features under the hood is packed in a polycarbonate plastic body and measures at 9,29mm thin, yes quite slim Smartphone. Unfortunately HTC hasn’t revealed the release date and price for the Smartphone, but hope it will be announced sooner than later.


The HTC One XL is another variant of  the One X, difference is that the One XL features  LTE that the L at the end of the name stands for. The One  XL will come powered by Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz..

HTC One SHTC One SHTC One S is mid range Android Smartphone with slim profile, eh device is slimmer at its best that makes the Smartphone slimmest one HTC has ever made. The HTC One S is not a powerful but stands between a mid and high-end devices.

The HTC On S is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and sports a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, an 8MP  camera on the rear side with an f/2.0 lens and a LED flash and Beats Audio. The HTC one S also features 1GB of RAM and16GB of internal storage while it gets its power from a 1,650 mAh non-removable battery.

The HTC One S is packed in a usual  aluminum unibody that measures just 7.6mm thin and has a  a crystaline ceramic metal finish achieved by baking the aluminum in plasma.  The HTC One S is running on Android 4.0 ICS with Sense 4.0 o top of it.

HTC One VHTC One VFinally, the HTC One V is an entry level Android Smartphone with a somewhat different design from other HTC Smartphones announced. The HTC One V previously rumored as HTC Primo and Smartphone is budget friendly, so never expect it to be like One X or even One S.

The HTC One V is powered by 1.0 GHz single-core processor along with  512MB of RAM  and packs  a 3.7″ SLCD2 480 x 800 display,  a 5MP camera with autofocus and  f/2.0 lens capable of shooting  720p videos and 25GB of DropBox cloud storage  for 2 years. Unfortunately, HTC has avoided the front-facing camera for the HTC One V. HTC One V also features the Beats Audio for enhanced audio clarity.

For Connectivity there are  all things you expect for an entry level device that include  GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetoot. The Smartphone has a quadband GSM and WCDMA radios while the 1500mAh battery take care of its power. The HTc One V will be running on Android 4.0  but it seems that unlike other One series Smartphones, the V version is coming with HTC Sense 3.6.

Anyway, we could expect a real competition in the Smartphone market in the coming months. Unfortunately HCT hasn’t revealed any particular release date or price for any of the above Smartphones but expected to be released globally in the coming April.
