Apple new iPad (iPad 3) official; Specs, Price and Release Date

Yes it has finally been official, Apple iPad 3, one of the most anticipated and rumored tablet with more enhanced features including HD display and LTE support  has been announced officially with pricing and release date at the event in San Francisco. Interestingly the name for the iPad is not like expected as iPad 3 or iPad HD, but simply the new iPad. Fortunately, the company has also announced the pricing and release date for the new iPad that will come in 3 flavors of storage capacity that include 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions.

The Apple iPad event was started with announcement of iOS 5.1 which is available today and will be released in Japan over the next few weeks and the iOs for Japan will have a Japanese language support for Siri as expected.

When it comes to the design of the new iPad, the new iPad is almost identical to the iPad 2 with a hardware home button that was rumored to get removed in favor of a capacitive one.

Even though LTE support for the new iPad was doubted, Appale has managed to add the feature with the new iPad and certainly it is a notable change for the Apple device. And moreover, there is huge improvement under the hood, the new ipad is powered by an A5X dual-core processor, the Apple claims that the A5X is “four times the performance”  compared to a Tegra 3 chip.

Outside, the new iPad has high resolution  Retina Display  at 2048 x 1536 pixels at a pixel density of 264ppi that should make sure  sharp  text and better HD videos with its  44% better color saturation over its predecessor. Certainly there is reason if the Apple calls it the greatest display on a tablet to date. When it comes to camera, it has also got an upgrade with an iSight camera that offers a 5-megapixel back-illuminated sensor and a 5-element lens system and needless to say that it can capture Videos at 1080p resolution.

As the new ipad has LTE support, you can enjoy the faster internet that reach up to a download speed of  73Mbps and it will be heading to the both Verizon and AT&T as well as Canadian carriers Bell, Rogers, and Telus. Other connectivity include  21Mbps HSPA+ and 42Mbps DC-HSDPA.

Fortunately, don’t worry about the drain of juice with these staggering improvements, as Apple has kept its battery as predecessor with a 10 hours of life at a charge, on the 4G mode will reduce to 9 hours though.

And finally, pricing and availability, according to the Apple, the new ipad will be  available in both Wifi  only and 4G LTE support on the suggested storage options.Apple has managed to keep its price the same as predecessor starting at at $499 for 16GB increasing up to $599 for the 32GB and $699 for the 64GB WiFi only. Whereas, the LTE version starts at the prices of $629 for 16GB,  $729 for 32GB model and $829 for the 64GB model and all models are coming with built-in 3G support for international use.

The  Apple’s new iPad release date is confirmed to March 16 and will be available in the U.S., Canada, the U. K., France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia followed by 26 other countries on March 23. you can’t wait for your hands on the new iPad, so you can make sure you get it first by placing a pre-order as soon as today.
