Microsoft has announced the it will shut down the the Market Place for Windows Mobile in the coming May. The Windows Mobile Marketplace has been providing apps for Windows Mobiles for a few years.

report says that Microsoft has stated to send the email for Windows Mobile users asking them to  to download/purchase and update their apps before it’s too late, ahead of the impending death of the Marketplace.  According to company, the Windows Mobile Market Place will go offline on May 9th, so just make sure you do update your apps and purchase the ones you have been thinking of .

Note that once the Marketplace closed, you wouldn’t be able to access it and if you phones get wiped, you won’t be able to reinstall the apps either. One fortunate news is that you will still be able to use apps and install via third-party marketplaces or its developers, but if you don’t want to do it, until there is Windows Marketplace alive, just bear it in your mind and get you new apps and updates before it is closed.
