Samsung Galaxy S II 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update releases; to hit in UK on March 19

Finally the most anticipated update for the Samsung’s flagship Android Smartphone Galaxy S II finally hit and started to seed in countries including in Europe and Korea. Even though the update was a pushed back from the March 10, it is surprise that Samsung didn’t  delay it further weeks or months but only a 3 days later, certainly better late than never right?!, but one thing there was another report that the update would hit on March 15 from Israel and it has become true.

Samsung has officially announced on its Facebook that the Company has started to roll out the update for the flagship device and the countries include European countries including Poland, Hungary and Sweden as well as Korea. and the update for the other countries will be coming soon.

Unfortunately the users in UK and some other countries will have to wait a little but certainly not a long time for that but  the update will be  following the first wave of the roll-out, so expect it soon. According to Pocket-lint, UK will be getting the update as soon as March 19 and it is just a 6 days from now.

Moreover,  Samsung hasn’t forgotten to reveal the good news for users of other devices from the Samsung, like Samsung Galaxy Note, Galaxy S II LTE, and Galaxy Tab Tab 8.9 and 10.1, and the company has promised the Android 4.0 update for these devices will be coming soon.

The Samsung will also be rolling out some Android 2.3 Gingerbread firmware updates for some other Smartphones as well as tablets including Galaxy S, Galaxy Tab 7″,  the Galaxy S Plus and the Galaxy W . According to reports the Update for these devices will start rolling out by the end of the March. This update seems to be the rumored Android 2.3 Gingerbread Value Pack.
