Huawei releases Ascend P1 ICS Smartphone in China; more countries to follow
Huawei has finally announced the release date for its Ascend P1 Android Smartphone which was unveiled at the CES 2012 bacn in January. The Smartphone which was promised to be released in the Q2, as expected Huawei has now announced a slightly concrete time frame for the Smartphone.
The Ascend P1 is powered by a Dual-core 1.5GHz processor and features 4.3″ qHD AMOLED screen and an 8MP camera and has a slim form factor that measures 7.7mm thickness. The Smartphone is running on Android 40 Ice Cream Sandwich on board.
According to the company, the Huawei Ascend P1 Smartphone will be launched in May via Carriers and retailers in Taiwan, Australia and Hong Kong and followed by Latin America in June and Europe in summer. More markets will be seeing later on. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t revealed anything about the pricing for the Smartphone yet.
Meanwhile the Huawei Ascend P1 has been released in its home market, China and available for purchase . The Huawei Ascend P1 in China had already marked over 100, 000 pre-orders according to the company.
