Verizon Android 4.0 ICS Update for HTC Rezound and Motorola RAZR and MAXX; Release Date leaks
It seems like Verizon is about to roll out the Android 4.0 ICS update for some of its devices like HTC Rezound, Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx or Motorola XOOM 3G/4G tablets. Even though there was another leak suggesting a Android 4.0 Update date to be in April, unfortunately it didn’t happen but new leak suggests that the update for these devices are almost closer to finishing its testing.
Anyway, you shouldn’t take this leak as ultimate truth but take it with a grain of salt even though it should put a smile on users’ face as it keeps hope and indicates the update is almost near. The leak is allegedly from Verizon’s internal system and seems to be real.
The screenshot hints that the Android 4.0 ICS update for the HTC Rezound is closer to the release and finishing its testing by May 7th and Motorola RAZR and RAZR MAXX will be following the completion of test-phase for the Android 4.0 ICS update. When it comes to the Motorola XOOM 3G/4G tablet ICS update, it looks like coming directly from the Google, but the screenshot hasn’t given any clue about the release date.
Anyway, if the screenshot is real, users of the HTC Rezound can expect the Android 4.0 ICS OTA update on May 9th according to the screenshot the update will be 297MB in size. The users of the Motorola DROID RAZR and MAXX could expect the Android 4.0 ICS update on the May 23rd and size of the update will be 341MB. If you are owner of any of these devices keep an eyes on it and get it updated to the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on time.
