ASUS Zenbook Prime UX21A, UX31A, UX32A and UX32VD with Ivy Bridge; Prices from $999
ASUS has finally unveiled its most anticipated Ultrabook version, the Ultrabooks which have been leaked many times, finally made official and coming with Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge processor inside. ASUS Zenbook Primes were announced for Taiwan first, now it is official for US too.
The Ultrabook will features Intel’s Ivy Bridge processors in Core i5 and Core i7 forms and standard 1366×768 default display with an option of a 1080p IPS option on all models. The ASUS Zenbook Primes will come in four variants that include 1.6-inch UX21A, 13.3-inch UX31A and UX32A.
All of the models will be offered with an option to choose a 350-nit 1080p IPS panel even for the 11.6-inch model. The UX21A and UX31A will also feature Intel’s integrated HD 4000 GPU and SSDs while the the UX32A will feature a hybrid hard drive. The laptops also sports keyboards with adjusted pitch with backlighting, and a tweaked touchpad. The ASUS UX32VD will come with a discrete NVIDIA GT 620M graphics card.
In terms of connectivity, the 13.3-inch UX31A has a two USB 3.0 ports, microHDMI, and an SD card slot along with a WiFi b/g/n, and dual band 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.
When it comes to pricing, the ASUS Zenbook Primes 13.3 inch model starts form a price of $999, unfortunately, the ASUS hasn’t revealed pricing for the 11.6 inch versions. Note that when you customize with high-end features, the price for the device will easily be increased.The release date for the new ASUS Zenbook Prime isn’t revealed either.
