Kyocera unveils Hydro Waterproof and Rise QWERTY ICS Smartphone; Specs
Both phone has almost similar specs under the hood except some features, the Smartphone are powered by 1GHz single-core processor and features 3.5-inch HVGA (320×480 pixels) displays, 512MB of RAM, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a 1,500mAh battery. Both are CDMA Smartphone.
Main difference here is the Hydro has IP57 protection rating so that can be submerged under water up to 30 minutes and withstand water jets and the Hydro measures 115 x 62 x 12.8 mm and weighing 120g. Whereas, the Kyocera Rise comes with a full QWERTY physical keyboard and is thicker than the Hydro at 113.0 x 60.5 x 14.3 mm and 157g of weight. The phones come with 2GB of memory pre-installed and supports microSD cards of up to 32GB.
Kyocera hasn’t revealed anything about pricing or availability, but the Smartphone should be available on carriers like Sprint and Verizon.
