Samsung Galaxy S III for AT&T and T-Mobile confirmed
Finally the US versions of Samsung Galaxy S III for both AT&T and T-Mobile have been confirmed. The Bluetooth SIG approval pages have confirmed the model numbers for both the AT&T and T-Mobile. Recently, an alleged T-Mobile version of Galaxy S III was approved by FCC and this comes shortly after that.
The model numbers of the FCC approved version and the device model on the Bluetooth SIG are same, SGH-T999 and it hints imminent release of the T-Mobile Galaxy S III. But the chipset for the T-Mobile Galaxy S III is still a mystery but the device seems to look different from international version and almost certain that it will replace the one-regular-and-two touch-buttons combo with four capacitive keys.
On the other hand, model number for the A&T version of Samsung Galaxy S III is SGH-I747 and expected to be based on Snapdragon S4 chipset with Dual-core Krait CPU instead of the Cortex-A9. The reason is the Exynos 4 Quad lacks the LTE support. But it seems like one or both of them may come with 2GB of RAM inside as Japanese version.
The T-Mobile Galaxy S III could land at the same day of international version goes on sale but we shouldn’t expect the AT&T version till June as Samsung hass already confirmed that the LTE version would only be released in June.
