Samsung releases Chromebook Series 5 550 and Chromebox Series 3; Specs and Price

Samsung has finally announced its next generation Chromebox and Chromebook laptop, namely Chromebox Series 3 and Chromebook Series 5 550 are coming with upgraded features under the hood as well as in design.  The devices have got more alluring design compared to the predecessor.

The Samsung Chromebox comes powered by a lovely 1.9GHz dual-core Intel Celeron B840 (Sandy Bridge) CPU  along with 4GB RAM s that will help you have better performance while browsing with a lot of tabs opened and systems boot faster than the predecessor, mean it takes 5 seconds. The device  is running on the new version of Chrome OS  and has 2x DisplayPort++ outputs that works with  HDMI, DVI, and VGA and features a single link DVI output port. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0,  Kensington key lock compatible, and has six USB 2.0 ports. For connectivity the device also features gigabit ethernet and dual-band Wi-fi.

On the other hand, the Chromebook Series 5 550 notebook is powered by an a 1.3GHz dual-core Intel Celeron 867 and features a 12.1-inch display at 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, 4GB of memory like the Chromebox,  two USB 2.0 ports, HD webcam up top, and DisplayPort++.  The laptops also features a 4-in-1 memory card slot, a Kensington lock port  as well as  combination Wi-fi and 3G for data or just Wi-fi alone.

The new Samsung Chromebox Series 3 and Chromebook Series 5 550 are available via Google online Hub and price starting at $329 and $449 respectively.
