Samsung now ships Galaxy S II with Android 4.0 ICS

For new Samsung Galaxy S II buyers have a good news, it seems that the company has finally started shipping all the new Galaxy S II devices with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed, so no need of getting it updated if you buy it.

It is not sure whihc od the markets have started to get Galaxy S II with Android 4.0, but it is confirmed that Samsung has started shipping Galaxy S II with Android 4.0 in India, and  assumes other markets are also getting same treatment.

Anyway, in case you bought a new Galaxy S II with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Android 4.0 ICS update has been available for a while and it is delivered OTA, so you just need a WiFi connection and get it done. and If you are going to get a new Galaxy S II and want an ICS pre-installed device, look out for units imported in April 2012 or later.
