Samsung to release Series 5 Ultrabook with Ivy Bridge Processor; pricing €1,099
After announcing the Series 7 laptop with the Ivy Bridge Processor, Samsung has plan to upgrade its Series 5 Ultrabook with Intel’s 3rd generation Ivy Bridge processors. There are two version of the Ultrabook that will feature Core i5 and Core i7 processors.
The Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook with Core i5 processor will come with identifier 530U3C while the Core i7 series with the A02DE identifier. Other features of the Series 5 Ultrabook with Ivy Bridge are scarce, but it is reported that the 13″ model Ultrabook will pack a 1366×768 display, support up to 8GB of RAM, a 500GB HDD and a 24GB SSD that will make sure faster performance.
The Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook with Ivy Bridge processor is expected to be released early June and the Series 5 Ultrabook price starts from €1,099. Since the Ivy Bridge processor announced by the Intel more manufacturers are upgrading their current model computers to the Ivy Bridge from the Sandy Bridge processor. Samsung has already announced the Series 7 Chronos 17 Laptop with Ivy Bridge. We will see more brands with Ivy Bridge processor under the hood in the coming weeks and some of the expected the devices are HP EliteBook and Lenovo ThinkPad series laptops which have already been leaked.
