Sony NEX-F3 and SLT-A37 Cameras official with Specs, Price and Release DetailsSony has added two new cameras on its NEX  and SLT series. The new cameras are dubbed NEX-F3 and  SLT-A37, the NEX-F3 is a mirror-less interchangeable lens camera, on the other hand, the SLT-A37 is a single-lens translucent camera with an APS-C image sensor.

The NEX-F3 is an entry level compact camera but with a step-up from previous models like NEX-C3.  By design, the camera look more like the  its older siblings the NEX-5N and NEX-7 . The NEX-F3 features a 16.1 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor with a a built-in flash, a 3-inch, 920k dot OLED display that also tilts by 180° and records videos at 1080p24 or 1080i60 video.

The camera’s sensor is pretty large as in a DSLR but the difference is the NEX-F3 doesn’t have a mirror in between but features  a digital viewfinder that takes the video feed directly from the sensor. The NEX-F3 also has software features like ‘Clear Image Zoom’ and ‘Auto Portrait Framing’  that helps the device to enhance the  photos.

Sony has also announced a  SEL18200LE E18-200mm F3.5-6.3 OSS LE telezoom lens for the camera,  that will be offered separately, which comes with a built-in image stabilization. The NEX-F3 will be available in three flavors of colors that include  silver, black and white.

On the other and the Sony SLT-a37 is a  single-lens translucent camera with a fixed translucent mirror to simultaneously bounce light up to the viewfinder and to transfer the rest of the light to the sensor. The SLT-A37 features a 16.1 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and can snap 7 images per second.

Sony SLT-A37 has a an ISO ranging up to  25,600 and capable of shooting videos up to 1080p24 or 1080i60.. On the back there is a 2.7-inch, 1440k dot LCD  that can  tilt up or down. The  camera has also got some software feature as in high-end SLT models like the “Pixel Super Resolution” that is a smart magnification technique. Other software features include Clear Image Zoom’ and ‘Auto Portrait Framing’ as on the NEX-F3.

The Sony hasn’t revealed exact release date for both cameras, but both NEX-F3 and SLT-A37 will be released in June 2012. when it comes to pricing, both NEX-F3 and SLT-A37 will available for about  $600 with an 18-55mm kit zoom lens (model SEL1855) . The new SEL18200LE telezoom lens will be released this July in black and price is about $850.
