Sony XPERIA U and XPERIA Sola release in Hong Kong and Taiwan
Sony has finally launched its two new Smartphones the Sony XPERIA U and the XPERIA Sola in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The mid range Smartphones were pushed back from the May 7 release in the UK but consumers in the Hong Kong and Taiwan are lucky to have it released first.
The Sony Xperia U and Sola are mid -range Android Smartphone with dual-core processor under the hood and running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The XPERIA U features 3.5 inch LED-backlit LCD with 480 x 854 pixels resolution, 4 GB storage, 512 MB RAM, 5 MP 2592 x 1944 pixels caemra with autofocus and LED flash and a front-facing VGA camera.
On the other hand the XPERIA Sola features 3.7 inch Capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 854 pixels resolution, GB (5GB user accessible), 512 MB RAM, 5 MP with autofocus and LED flash and microSD card slot. The caemra is capable of capturing 720P video at 30fps. The Smartphone also features tracking your fingers .
The Sony XPERIA U is priced at HK$2,498 (€246, $320) in Hong Kong while in Taiwan, the device will set you back NT$9,900 (€259, $337). The Sony XPERIA Sola is priced at HK$2,998 (€295, $383) in Hong Kong while NT$10,900 (€285, $370) in Taiwan. Currently the phones are available in white and black, a red version is expected to be released later on. Meanwhile, Taiwan can also expect the Sony XPERIA P Android Smartphone in May for a price of NT$13,800 (€360, $468). Europe could expect the Sony XPERIA P and U mid-May.
