Symbian Carla Update reportedly cancelled
It seems like the Symbian is on the verge of its death, if the report came from an Italian site name Nokialino, expected update, Carla after Belle won’t be making it way to Symbian smartphones, means it has been cancelled.
According to According to the Product Marketing Manager for Nokia South Europe Mathias Fiorin who Nokialino claims to have talked with, said that Carla is now known as FP1. It seems like both upcoming feature packs won’t be bringing major updates, HD screens and dual-core CPU support. It means the Belle will be the last update Symbian users can expect.
If Mathias Fiorin has said this to Nokialino, it should be more reliable and accurate, so the Symbian users shouldn’t expect more for their devices other than the Belle’s upcoming Feature Pack 2 but that will hardly be a game changer.
Anyway, if this is true, there should be an official announcement soon, but it seems to be true as Nokia puts its all efforts into Windows Phone and Symbian market share is rapidly reduced.
