Toyota to release RAV4 EV this Summer; pricing from $49,800

Toyota has unveiled its much anticipated EV named Toyota RAV4 EV. It seem like the companies are gradually into producing more EV and the new Toyota EV was unveiled at the Electric Vehicle Symposium in Los Angeles.  The Toyota REV4 EV will be an affordable range of EV in the market.

The Toyota RAV4 EV  is expected to offer  a 100 mile range on a single charge and will take 6 hours to recharge with a 240V/40A adapter.  The battery for the  RAV4 EV is designed by Tesla and the Toyota says that the driving performance of the electric version will be just as good as the gas powered RAV4 V6.

The Car can go  in spot mode from 0 – 60mph in 7 seconds with a top speed of 100mph and in Normal mode 0 – 60mph in 7 seconds with a top speed of 100mph. We can expect an out put of 0 – 60mph in 7 seconds with a top speed of 100mph from the RAV4 EV.

For the interior, the car has  a six-way drivers seat, and “Neutron” fabric trim around the interior of the car and 8-inch touch screen for car’s navigation. Toyota claimed that the car’s navigation and drive system, and settings re specially designed for the RAV4 EV.

The  new Toyota RAV4 EV is expected to be released in this summer and starting price will be around  $49,800. When it is released, the car will be available in  certain California markets that include Sacramento, San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles/Orange County and San Diego but only  around 2,600 units will be produced over the next three years.
