Dell releases XPS 14 and 15 Laptops; Specs and Price
Dell has added two new laptops to its XPS series named XPS 14 and 15. While the first XPS Ultrabook is 13 inch model, the new XPS laptops are bigger brothers with 14 and 15 screens. Both Dell XPS 14 and 15 laptops have a slim profile and the components are housed in a aluminum chassis and will be offered with Intel’s Ivy Bridge processors and optional discrete NVIDIA graphics. Dell has also announced pricing and availability of the Dell XPS 14 and 15 laptops.
The Dell XPS 14 is powered by optional Intel Ivy Bridge processor that range up to a Core i7 processor and feature a 400-nit brightness 1600×900 display, up to 8GB of RAM, optional NVIDIA’s GT 630M GPU and a 512GB SSD. The Dell XPS 14 base model will be available with an Intel Core i5 processor with HD 4000 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive.
The Dell XPS 14 also features arrays of ports that include two USB 3.0, HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, and an SD card slot. The Laptop has a 0.81-inches thickness and weighs around 4.6lbs.
On the other hand, the top Dell XPS 15 model will be offered with 15 inches 1920×1080 display, third generation a quad-core Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GT 640M graphics, 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage plus a 128GB mSATA, and a Blu-ray drive. Base model comes with a Core i5 processor, 1920×1080 display, NVIDIA GT 630M GPU, 6GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive with a DVD optical drive. The Dell XPS 15 is a little thicker than the XPS 14 at 0.91-inches and weight to 5.79lbs.
Both Dell XPS 14 and 15 laptops are available for purchase for a starting price of $1,099, while the XPS 15 at $1,299. The Dell XPS laptops with maximum features will cost you $1,999. In UK the Dell XPS 14 price starts at £1,049 while the XPS 15 at £1,149.
