Samsung unveils Windows 8 Series 5 Hybrid; Specs revealed
Hybrid devices seem to be more common in the near future, since ASUS introduced ASUS Transformer tablet, some other companies have also introduced their own versions of the devices with such features, but in this Computex we could meet a series of hybrid devices that range from Acer Windows 8 tablet to ASUS 18.5 detachable All-in-One with Windows 8 and Android. Now Samsung is prepping an hybrid with Windows 8 on board and the company has unveiled the tablet/laptop at the computex.
The new Hybrid is on Samsung Series 5 lineup and features 13.3 inch touchscreen that can be folded back against the base of the laptop so it transforms into a tablet.
The Samsung Series 5 Hybrid features a 13.3-inch touch screen with 1366×768 resolution and full touch support for the Windows 8, a standard 500GB HDD with a 24GB SSD, a full chiclet keyboard with trackpad, and whopping memory up to 12GB.
Ports include one USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, Ethernet, and HDMI.When it comes to pricing and availability, Samsung is yet to announce those details, but getting closer to the Windows 8 release, we should know more details about new range of Windows 8 tablets waiting to hit the market.
