Canon to release EOS M Cameras in October; Specs and Price
As we expected, the Canon has finally announced its next generation compact mirrorless camera. The camera named Canon EOS M was leaked with some details, now Canon has revealed official price and release details for the Canon EOS M. The new camera is introduced as “take-anywhere partner” as it is very compact while no compromise in features and image qualities.
As we expected, the Canon EOS-M is coming with 18-megapixel APS-C hybrid CMOS sensor, like in Sony’s NEX series, with an IOS range from 100-12,800, expandable up to 25,600. and supporting DIGIC 5 processor. Canon EOS M has a 3-inch touch display making it main method of control while there is only minimal physical controls around the camera. There is a mode selector on the top, quick menu access, and some shortcuts on the rear.
The Canon EOS M offers lenses that include a 22mm f/2.0 pancake lens and a standard f/3.5-5.6 18-55mm IS. The Canon EOS M also offers an array of creative filters. The camera lacks built-in flash but Canon does offer new Speedlite 90EX flash unit with the camera, and there will be an adapter ring that lets you use existing EF lenses. The Camera is capable of capturing Full HD videos.
The Canon EOS M release date is in October 2012. When it comes it pricing, the Canon EOS M with 18-55mm zoom is £769.99; with 22mm and lens adapter ring is £879.99; and with both lenses it will set you back £949.99. The Canon EOS M will be available in black, silver, white and a rather fetching red. Canon has released some images taken by the Canon EOS M, the images are certainly high quality.
