Skytex to release SKYPAD Gemini and Protos tablets; Specs and PriceWhen it comes to Android tablet, Skytex is notable  a familiar name, but there is nothing to blame anyone since this is first time the company has come up with pair of Android tablets. Skytecs has announced two new Android tablets along with its price details. The tablets include Skytex SkyPad Gemini and Skypad Protos with 7 and 9.7 inches displays respectively. Android tablets are getting cheaper and these two tablets are coming to a market that Google’s Nexus 7 comes.

The Skytex SkyPad Gemini is powered by a SkyPad Gemini along with a Mali 400 graphics and sports  a 7″ 800 x 480 multitouch display,  1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 2-megapixel front facing camera and runs on Android 4.0 ICS. The tablet also features connectivity like mini-USB port, WiFi, Bluetooth and  microSHC card slot to increase the memory. The Skytex SkyPad Gemin gets juice from a 3,000mAh battery (6 hours of battery life) and  is priced at $179.

On the other hand, Skypad Protos  is its biggger brother with a 9.7″ 1024 x 768 multitouch display, and comes powered by a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A8 CPU, Mali 400 graphics. The Skytex Skypad Protos also features 1GB of RAM, 8GB of Storage,  2-MP front facing camera, and a 5-MP rear camera.

The Skytex Skypad Protos has connectivity features like mini-USB port, HDMI 1.4 output, WiFi, Bluetoott, and microSHC card slot. The Skypad Protos has a beefy 6,000mAh battery that is good for 10 hours of life.  The Skytex Skypad Protos priced at $279. Unfortunately, Skytex hasn’t announced the release date for the both tablets yet, but expected to be available soon.
