Motorola launches Electrify 2 and DEFY XT for U.S.Cellular

Motorola has introduced two new Android smartphones for the country’s 5th largest Wireless carrier U.S.Cellular. U.S.Cellular has a fair share of Android smartphones on its network, and the company is expanding  its offerings with these tw0 new Android devices named Motorola Electrify 2 and Motorola DEFY XT. Now consumers who are looking for entry and mid-range Smartphones on the network have more  to choose from.

The Motorola Electrify 2 is successor to the original ELECTRIFY released last year and available for purchase via carrier’s web site for a price of $199.99, with in store availability starting Friday, August 3rd. The Motorola Electrify 2 offers you many of the features you get from Verizon’s DROID RAZR like  invisible splash-guard coasting,  Kevlar strong backing and svelte 8.4mm body.

The Motorola Electrify 2 has an impressive specs under the hood for the price, that starts with 4.3” qHD ColorBoost display,  dual-core 1.2GHz processor,8MP camera with capability of shooting videos at 1080p and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box. The device also features Motorola’s SMARTACTIONS functionality that extends its performance and battery life.

On the other hand, the Motorola DEFY XT is rugged Android smartphone targeting at any tough users with little mercy to their smartphones. The Motorola DEFY XT is water-resistant and dustproof. The Smartphone is powered by single-core 1GHz processor and features 3.7″ a scratch-resistant display, 5MP camera on the rear side. Unfortunately, the DEFY XT is coming with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board. The Smartphone is priced at  $99.99 with a contract will be released on August 2nd.
