The device is more compact than the HTC 8X with a measurement of 120.5 x 63 x 10.28 mm and 3.99 oz (113 g) weight.  As the Lumia series, the HTC WP 8S also comes in variety of colors and has an identical form-factor to the HTC WP 8X in a Polycarbonate body.

In terms of specifications, the HTC Windows Phone 8S is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Krait processor on the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset along with Adreno 225 GPU. The smartphone features a 4-inch capacitive Super LCD of WVGA resolution with Gorilla Glass protection, 512MB of RAM and 4GB internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card slot.
