Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3 Camera announced
Panasonic has unveiled a new digital camera on its Lumix series named Lumix DMC-GH3. The new camera is coming with several new features including an integrated viewfinder and other DSLR features. The new Lumix GH3 has a sturdy look and features a swivel display.
The Lumix DMC-GH3 sports a 16.05-megapixel sensor, Venus Engine processor, WiFi, 3D noise reduction and onboard HDR photo creation. The camera will offer an ISO range up to 12,800 (25,600 extended), 3-inch 614k dot OLED touchscreen and a 100% field-of-view OLED electronic viewfinder. Viewfinder includes an eye sensor, that automatically shuts off the main display when it is used, saving battery life. The camera offers 6fps burst shooting at full resolution ranging up to 20fps in 4-megapixel mode and HDR mode in background.
The camera is capable of shooting videos at 1080p Full HD and there are also Dolby Digital sound, twin 3.5mm jacks for headphones, an integrated stereo microphone and an external microphone. The videos can be stored in AVCHD, AVCHD Progressive, MP3, or MOV formats. The footage recorded at up to 72Mbps (ALL-Intra) or 50Mbps (IPB), with frame rates of 60p, 30p, or 24p.
The Panasonic Lumix GH3 also offers several manual controls along with autofocus, autofocus tracking, and face-recognition autofocus. The display can be used for touch-setting autofocus points. The new Lumix GH3 also has GN12 a pop-up flash equivalent at ISO 100, apart from a mount for a separate flash. The camera also features a an external flash with wireless and LED for video, as well as a battery grip. There is a mini HDMI that enables real-time delivery of video.
For your wireless connectivity, there is WiFi b/g/n, so that you can transfer files either to the cloud or a computer, and also comes a remote app for controlling the GH3 wirelessly. The Panasonic Lumix GH3 camera onboard control can be reprogrammed with five hardware function buttons and two software presets. The Lumix GH3 is also rugged to protect from dust and splashes.
The Lumix GH3 is joining the LUMIX G X VARIO 12-35mm, f/2.8 ASPH. POWER O.I.S and already available one is a new zoom, the LUMIX G X VARIO 35-100mm. The lens offers f/2.8 and POWER O.I.S and both come with dust/splashproof.
Actual pricing and release date are yet to be confirmed but expected to hit the market by the end of this year with a roughly $2,000 price tag.
