ViewSonic announces 22" VSD220 Android PC

ViewSonic has a new product in its shelves as a wide 22 inch Android-powered All-In-One PC. The company announced the PC  named ViewSonic VSD220 with slim 22 inch complete touchscreen display making it operable like a tablet.

The ViewSonic VSD220 comes with a display of 1920 x 1080 resolution and powered by a a Texas Instruments OMAP 4 dual-core processor, making it a giant tablet or Android monitor. The ViewSonic VSD220 running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board with a complete Google certification for consumers’ best Android experience on this giant tablet.

More specifications on the new ViewSonic all-in-one Android PC is yet to be revealed, but seems to be coming with wide range of ports and connectivity features including 3x USB connections, microHDMI, so that you can use it as touchscreen monitor, microSD, WiFi, Ethernet and Bluetooth.

Moreover, there is also a webcam for your video call on skype as well as other video conferencing applications and SRS speakers for better sound quality. The device also supports range of other accessories like keyboards and mice, and seems like it can be used as a complete computer, running on a mobile OS. ViewSonic has said anything about the internal memory but looks like there is some user memory available, and you could easily connect with external hard drive.

Whatever you call it, a giant tablet, Android Monitor or AIO PC, price of the monster Android device is less than average smartphones available in the market, at  £359, and the release date for the ViewSonic VSD220 is mid-October.
