ASUS is well-prepared to launch its upcoming laptops, ultrabooks and AiOs running on Windows 8. Getting closer to the release of Windows 8, ASUS showed off some of its upcoming Windows 8 lineups at a press event. The devices range from entry-level to high-profile laptops with Dual-screen. The devices include  ASUS Taichi, ASUS Transformer Book, ASUS Zenbook Series, ASUS VivoBook, ASUS VivoTAB RT and ASUS All-in-One ET2300. We have already seen some of them before at some other events. Here is a quick overview of these devices.

ASUS Taichi

This device has already made some buzz , and certainly a most intriguing device in the series with a dual-screen, having panel on the each side of lid, the laptop looks neat. The laptop features  1080p IPS screens on both sides  and can either be used simultaneously or one at a time in laptop or tablet (closed) modes. The ASUS Taichi is powered by optional Core i5 and Core i7 processors and features stylus for precision work. The Taichi price ranges from $1,299 to $1,599 and the release date is in November.

Asus Transformer Book

The name suggests what it looks like, yes certainly a hybrid device like the flagship Android Transformer Pad and Prime series.  But the Transformer Book  runs on full version of the Windows 8 with a powerful Intel Core i7 processor. The device is expected to hit the shelves soon.

ASUS Zenbook Series

There are several versions of the Zenbook series, including  11-inch or 13-inch models ready while Zenbook with 14-inch and 15.6-inch displays on the way. The Zenbook should have a starting price of $699 ranging up to $1,999. The Windows 8-powered ultrabooks should be released in November.

ASUS VivoBook

This is yet another ultrabook from the ASUS, that will be running on Windows 8. The VivoBook will be available in 11-inch to 14-inch,  as well as choice of vibrant colors. The ultrabooks are powered by optional Intel Celeron, Pentium, Core i3, i5, and i7  processors, unfortunately, price and exact release date are yet to be announced.

It is a consumer tablet aimed at ever-growing tablet market, the device which runs on Windows RT is a hybrid slate with detachable keyboard. The tablet is already announced for AT&T in US, powered by an NVIDIA’s next generation quad-core Tegra 3 TE processor and packs 10.1 inch multi-touch Super IPS display. The tablet price starts at $599, which is $100 more than Microsoft’s Surface RT tablet.

ASUS will also bring another VivoTab with Bluetooth keyboard and full version of Windows 8 like the Surface Pro. Anyway, more details are yet to be available.

Asus All-in-one ET2300

This is an All-in-One desktop running on Windows 8, it looks a lot like recent models from HP  and Vizio, with ability to lie flat. The AIO features 10-point touch screen  as well as four USB 3.0 ports and two Thunderbolt ports. Availability and pricing are yet to be revealed, but hopefully soon.
