AT&T to release Samsung ATIV Smart PC Windows 8 tablet
Wow, AT&T has another addition to its offerings, after the announcement of HTC One X plus, Lumia 920 and 820, the carrier has added Samsung’s ATIV Smart PC as well. The device is a hybrid tablet running on Microsoft’s latest platform Windows 8 that will be launched on October 26.
The ATIV Smart PC is running on an Intel Clover Trail 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and sports an 11.6-inch HD PLS display, a battery promised to offer 8 hours of life time. The tablet comes with a detachable keyboard-docking like the one on ASUS Transformer Pad, that will turn the tablet into a notebook.
The tablet will be coming with a trial version of several Microsoft Office 2013 apps, that include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Anyway the carrier hasn’t mentioned what connectivity the device will have, but AT&T Samsung ATIV Smart PC is expected to be running on carrier’s 4G HSPA+ or 3G nationwide. Pricing for the tablet is also a mystery.
