Google, LG to launch Android 4.2, Optimus G Nexus

It seems like Google is preparing a new Android version  and will reportedly announce it next month. According to reports, Google will be co-hosting an event with LG  to unveil its new Android 4.2. It is said that the LG will utilize the opportunity by introducing the global version of LG Optimus G aka Optimus G Nexus which was announced in Korea and will be running on the new Android 4.2.

The LG Optimus G is a powerful Android smartphone to date and boasts Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. The device sports 4.7-inch WXGA screen, 2GB of RAM and 13MP camera on the rear side. the smartphone comes in a 32GB of  onboard storage.

The report appeared on Android and Me, that cited its source. It hasn’t been long time since Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was released, so we couldn’t expect the upcoming Android 4.2 as major update, and the report also indicates the same. According the source, the new version of Android OS will bring better power management and enhanced Google Play store.

Even though Google has launched couple of new version of Android OS after 2.3 Gingerbread, according to Google’s developers page, Android 2.3 still dominates majority of  Android smartphones, 55.5%.
