HTC One X+ announced; Specs and Release Details
A few days ago we reported about the new HTC One X+ Android smartphone, which appeared in a O2 UK brochure with price and some specification details, and we were looking forwarded to its announcement. As we expected, the company didn’t take long time, and HTC has finally announced the new HTC One X+ smartphone, it is coming with a number of hardware improvements as well as new HTC Sense on top of the OS.
The HTC One X + is a huge device with 4.7″ Super LCD2 featuring 720p resolution and packs 1.7GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 AP37 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera with F2.0 aperture and 28mm lens and 1.6MP front-facing camera that is capable of 720p videos. The camera on the rear side can shoot 1080p videos.
The HTC One X plus is coming with Gorilla Glass 2 protection with optical lamination to reduce light reflection. The smartphone will be available in storage options that include 32GB and 64GB built-in memory.
For connectivity, there are WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC as well as microUSB. The device packs a beefy 2100 battery, and all of these hardware have been packed in a shell measuring 134.36 x 69.9 x 8.9mm, and weighs 135 grams.
Software side, the HTC One X+ will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right out of the box with HTC’s own Sense 4+. Other features include HTC Get Started – a web service that lets you easily personalize and organize your smartphone from a computer.The device also features HTC’s Beat Audi enhancements with speaker and built-in amplifier.
The release date for the HTC One X+ is set to this month and will be launched in Europe and North Asia first, followed by South Asia while the North American version will have a separate announcement, and may come with some changes in features. The HTC will be seeding the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to HTC one X and One S this month. HTC hasn’t announced the pricing for the new HTC One X+, but according to previous leak, the HTC One X plus will come with a price tag of £479.99.
