Samsung Galaxy camera for AT&T announced; pricing revealed

AT&T has announced it will be launching the first Samsung Galaxy camera in the US. The device announced early has been on rumors about when and where it will be available, finally it is confirmed. The device is a marriage of a point and shoot camera and an Android smartphone. The camera comes with a powerful specs under the hood.

The Galaxy camera for AT&T is powered by a 1GHz quad-core CPU and running on latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with bunch of photo sharing features to make things easier. The Galaxy camera sports a 4.8″ Super Clear LCD screen with HD, 6MP BSI CMOS camera sensor with xenon flash and 21x optical zoom and 8GB of built-in memory, expandable via microSD card slot. The camera also features 21x optical zoom, and will be running on carrier’s 3G network, means no LTE connectivity on board.

Anyway, pricing for the AT&T Galaxy camera is not available, but expected to be revealed closer to the release. But Samsung Germany has officially announced the price for Galaxy camera, but the price is as hefty as 599 Euros, it could change depending on the market and retailers.
