Samsung Galaxy S III mini image, specs, price leak

There ares till hours to the anticipated event for the Samsung’s official announcement of  Galaxy S III mini, but here is full specification details of the upcoming Galaxy S III mini, leaked hours before the official announcement. We reported about the upcoming event that Samsung plans for the October 11th, to which Samsung has already sent out invites with a title “and so small can be big,””.

As we expected, leaked details show that the device will be 4″ inch device featuring 4″ Super AMOLED unit of WVGA resolution and powered by 1GHz dual-core CPU on an ST-Ericsson U8420 chipset with a dual-core CPU. The smartphone also sports 1GB RAM, a 5MP unit with LED flash, a front-facing VGA camera and microSD card slot.

the mobile phone will be running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS right out of the box, so mini users don’t have to wait for another update yet while original device is still waiting for the update.  In terms of connectivity, there are dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, optional NFC, and quad-band 2G and tri-band 3G with 14.4Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 HSUPA. The Galaxy S III mini  will have 16GB of internal storage and you can expand the memory with microSD card. The device will have a 1500mAh battery.

Even though Samsung said mini, it didn’t want to go less than 4 inch.  Samsung must have considered its competitor Apple iPhone 5 which was released  recently with 4 inch display and compact form-factor. And it seems like Samsung has managed to keep the device as compact as it can, the device measures 121.6 x 63 x 9.9 mm. Like its big brother, the Samsung Galaxy S III mini is also coming with a plastic exterior.

Anyway, it is leak, and it could be inaccurate, even though the specs details look reliable. Fortunately, there is also pricing for the smartphone, Galaxy S III mini will set you back €400 ($515), not much less than  its bigger brother. According to the invite, Samsung is holding the event tomorrow, so stay tuned and we will keep you posted.
