- A processor clocked at 1GHz or more
- 2GB of RAM for 64-bit system, 1GB for 32-bit
- 20GB Hard Drive space for 64-bit, 16GB for 32-bit
- Direct X9-capable graphics.
Not all systems may meet above requirements. Anyway, you should also note there are some other requirements as well for enjoying full features of the Windows 8. The Windows 8 is built around touch-based navigation and if you want to utilize that functionality you need a touch-screen. Your primary source of the Windows 8 apps will be Windows Store, and for purchasing and downloading apps for your system you need an active internet connection. If your system is as low as 1,024-x768, you may be able to snap apps, you may need up to at least 1366×768 in order to use apps side-by-side.
Not over yet, you will also need device drivers to run Windows 8 smoothly and play nice with your hardware.
