NEC LaVie X Windows 8 Ultrabook unveiled; Specs and Release Date

You must be remembering the eye-catching NEC LaVie Z ultrabook which was released back in May, and the company based in Japan has  announced yet another version of the ultrabook, and this time with Windows 8 on board. The new ultrabook is named LaVie X  and claimed to be world’s thinnest.

The device is as thin as 12.8mm and weighs 1.59kg. The ultrabook is powered by an Intel Core i7-3517U processor clocked at 1.9Ghz and sports a 15.6-inches display with Full HD IPS panel, a 4GB RAM and a decent 256GB SSD that will make sure faster performance of the device.

The LaVie X also features 2MP webcam and an SDXC slot. For connectivity there are two USB 3.0 ports for a faster data transfer, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and HDMI support.

The release date for the NEC LaVie X Windows 8 ultrabook is set to December 27th for Japanese market, but no word on its pricing and launch in other markets like US and Europe.
