Acer unveils Intel Atom-powered Liquid C1; Specs and Price

Acer announced its Liquid E1 at the CES 2013 with a mid-end specs under the hood and shiny casing, and now the company has added another Liquid smartphone to its portfolio, but this time, the device  comes with Intel inside, not so glossy though. The smartphone dubbed Acer Liquid C1 was announced at an event in Thailand.

Spec-wise, the Acer liquid C1 is an entry-level smartphone powered by x86 processor clocked at 1.2GHz on the latest Intel Atom Z2420 chipset. The smartphone sports a 4.3-inch IPS screen with qHD resolution (960×540 pixels),  an 8MP camera with auto focus and runs on Android ICS OS.

The smartphone COU is single core, but boasts support for Hyper-Threading that will offer reasonable performance for budget smartphones.The smartphone also features hardware-accelerated 1080p encoding and decoding which enable the device to snap 5  stills in a second.

The Acer Liquid C1 release date is in February starting in Thailand followed by other South Asian countries.  The Acer Liquid C1 is priced at around 9,990 baht, that is about USD$335.
