At the CES 2013, HP has also introduced two new Sleekbooks powered by AMD processors inside. These are yet another devices HP has introduced at CES apart form the monitor series. The new devices are named HP Pavilion TouchSmart Sleekbook and a non-touch HP Pavilion Sleekbook.
Both Sleekbooks are powered by AMD Ultrathin A6-4455M Accelerated Processors clocked at 2.1GHz up to 2.6Ghz and features a 15.6-inch high-definition display with 1366×768 resolution. The new laptops have a 4GB DDR3 SDRAM and supports up to 8GB.
There are also ports for connectivity that include two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, one HDMI connector, one ethernet RJ-45 and one audio jack. Other features are HP CoolSense, HP ProtectSmart and HP Connected.
Interesting feature on Windows 8 is that when a touch display is not available, you can use the trackpad for multi-touch gestures you normally do on a touchscreen.
For starters, both HP Pavilion Sleekbook and the HP Pavilion Touchsmart Sleekbook are priced at $479.99 and $649.99 respectively and release date is set to January 13, 2013.
