LG Optimus G Pro goes official in Japan
Couple of days ago we saw a leak of the upcoming LG Optimus G Pro smartphone and now LG has officially announced the smartphone in Japan. The device will be part of NTT DoCoMo’s spring lineup. The smartphone is a next generation high-end model of the Optimus G, featuring huge screen and boosted specs under the hood.
Spec-wise, the LG Optimus G Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset with 1.7GHz quad-core CPU and sports 5″ 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, 32GB of built-in storage and microSD card slot.
The smartphone packs a beefy 3,000mAh battery, it is a significant improvement compared to LG Optimus G. For connectivity, there is LTE along with other usual features and the device is running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right out of the box. The smartphone is expected to be released in April but price and exact release date are still mystery.
Anyway, LG hasn’t revealed anything about LG Optimus G Pro’s international availability yet, but LG should bring the device to the upcoming MWC 2013 that will be held in Barcelona. So stay tuned and we will keep you posted.
